For those having problems with running the latest version of Inkscape (0.46) on Leopard, I found a solution that seems to fix the problem (at least, it did for me). Solution: control click inkscape. Click show contents. Go to resources. Then I just happened to click on a gray folder labeled "opendoc"
then some script started running and in less than a minute inkscape
opened to a new drawing page. From then was able to open it just by
clicking on the inkscape icon. Answered my own question! Hope this
helps others.
